Dave's Loft is a haven for jamming in my town. I've spent many afternoons up in that loft playing music. This particular session was actually recorded on two days separate days over the past summer -- I just lumped it all together as one session. This recording was done using two condenser microphones, an Alesis io|2 audio interface for my MacBook, and the program of choice was garageband. In case it isn't obvious from the track listing, we play a lot of Jimi Hendrix.
1. Blues Jam
2. Doobie Funk
3. Jimi Hendrix - Hey Joe
4. Jimi Hendrix - Little Wing
5. Jimi Hendrix - Machine Gun
6. Jimi Hendrix - Spanish Castle Magic
7. Jimi Hendrix - Voodoo Chile
8. Jimi Hendrix - Who Knows

The Van Meter Sessions
Lead Guitar - James Rutter
Bass Guitar - Marc Pollack
Bass Guitar - Justin Fallon
Drums - Nick Wright
Last year sometime in the winter, Marc, Nick and myself were jamming in my dorm room. We started off with a jam to Jimi Hendrix's "Machine Gun", and then tried a "Little Wing" Jam, but we weren't really feeling it so we switched into a Neil Young, "Cortez the Killer" jam. While we were playing this, Justin Fallon, who lived on our floor, walked into the room and asked if he could join. Of course we said yes, and so he brought over his bass and played with us. On the last two tracks, the blues jam and "Sinister Minister", theres actually two basses being played at the same time. Listen close, you can hear them both.

Ashley & The Roots
Piano/Vocals - Ashley Root
Rhythm Guitar/Vocals - Nick Stevens
Lead Guitar - James Rutter
Bass Guitar - Devin Fernburg
Drums/Vocals - Dave Davignon
This was a summer project that only lasted for two months. The group consisted of two students from Berklee College of Music, a guitarist that had been in a band for four years, and one of the best drummers I know, lots of talent. Having only practiced about six or seven times, we had about seven or eight songs down. Unfortunately I didn't record us as much as I wanted, the only recording I have of us is not the greatest of quality (The levels are painfully off). We never formally named ourselves either, but we did come up with, "Ashley & The Roots", one night when we were drinking around a fire and playing our songs.
1. Radiohead - High and Dry
2. Crowded House - Four Seasons
3. Travis - Reoffender
4. Ben Folds - Brick
5. Bill Withers - Ain't No Sunshine
6. Journey - Don't Stop Believing
